SHADID. (HOFFMAN-HOLBROOK-MATHIAS) 625 ILCS 5/1-159.1 from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 1-159.1 Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that a person suffering from peripheral vascular disease is a person with disabilities and qualifies for a person with disabilities license plate, decal, or device. SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Deletes reference to: 625 ILCS 5/1-159.1 Adds reference to: 625 ILCS 5/11-1301.3 Deletes everything. Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that when a vehicle with a person with disabilities parking decal or device is parked in a space reserved for persons with disabilities, the parking decal or device must be properly displayed where it is clearly visible to law enforcement personnel, either by hanging it from the rearview mirror or by placing it on the dashboard of the vehicle in clear view.
