WELCH. New Act Creates the Teacher's Fair Pay Act. Requires the State Board of Education to conduct a study on teacher salaries for all public school teachers in grades one through 12. Requires the study to include a comparison of teacher salaries among (i) Cook County, (ii) the counties of DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry, and Will, and (iii) the rest of the State and to compare teacher salaries with reference to cost-of-living expenses in these areas.
