CRONIN. ILCON Art. IV, Sec. 8.1 new Proposes to amend the Legislature Article of the Illinois Constitution concerning the passage of revenue bills. Provides that any bill resulting in the increase of revenue to the State may become law only by a vote of two-thirds of the members in each house of the General Assembly. Provides that the General Assembly may not vote upon a revenue bill until a public hearing has been held. Effective upon being declared adopted.
