ROSKAM. Urges the Illinois Supreme Court to adopt a rule relating to the evaluation by the court and jury of accomplice and incarcerated informant testimony in capital cases. SENATE AMENDMENT No. 1. Deletes references to an accomplice. Provides that "incarcerated informant" means a witness whose entire knowledge of the crime stems solely from information obtained from another incarcerated person, while incarcerated contemporaneously with the witness.
