Short description: GO BONDS-SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the General Obligation Bond Act. Increases the amount authorized to be sold for grants to school districts for school improvement projects authorized by the School Construction Law by $1,000,000,000. Distributes the increased authorization by increasing the amount authorized to be sold in year 5 of the schedule by $200,000,000 and in year 6 of the schedule by $330,000,000, and by extending the schedule to a seventh and eighth year in which $300,000,000 and $170,000,000 respectively are authorized to be sold. Effective July 1, 2001.
