Short description: LOCKSMITH ADVERTISING Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Private Detective, Private Alarm, Private Security, and Locksmith Act of 1993. Provides that giving notice to the public, by yellow page advertisement, through a sign at the facilities of the towing service, or by any other advertisement, that the towing service opens motor vehicle locks to enable a vehicle to be moved without towing does not constitute holding oneself out to the public as a locksmith if the advertisement does not use the word "locksmith". Effective immediately. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Deletes reference to: 225 ILCS 446/30 Adds reference to: 225 ILCS 446/65 Deletes everything after the enacting clause.
