PEN CD-IMRF-HEALTH BENEFIT                                                 

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF)  Article  of      
   the  Illinois  Pension  Code  to  provide  a  program  of group health      
   benefits for retired employees and  their  dependents  and  survivors.      
   Effective immediately.                                                      
          PENSION NOTE (Pension Laws Commission)                               
          The fiscal impact cannot be determined. HB 209 merely author-        
          izes IMRF to administer a program of group health benefits, but      
          does not outline the actual insurance coverage, funding or           
          other aspects, of the program.
