Short description: CRIM PRO-DEPOSITION OF ELDERS Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963. Authorizes the court to permit an elderly person who is an alleged victim of financial exploitation, abuse, or neglect to testify by deposition taken at his or her residence subject to conditions set by the court. JUDICIAL NOTE (Office of the Illinois Courts) House Bill 592 would neither increase nor decrease the number of judges needed in the State. FISCAL NOTE (Department of Corrections) The prison population and fiscal impact is unknown. Correctional Note (Department of Corrections) Same as previous fiscal note. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1.
