CHILD SUPPORT-ATTORNEY GENERAL                                             

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Attorney  General  Act,  the  Illinois  Administrative      
   Procedure  Act,  the  Intergovernmental  Cooperation Act, the New Hire      
   Reporting Act, the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois, the Illinois      
   Public Aid Code, the Vital Records Act,  the  Fish  and  Aquatic  Life      
   Code,  the Wildlife Code, the Illinois Vehicle Code, the Attorney Act,      
   the Illinois Marriage and Dissolution of Marriage Act, the Non-Support      
   Punishment  Act,  the  Uniform  Interstate  Family  Support  Act,  the      
   Expedited Child Support  Act  of  1990,  the  Income  Withholding  for      
   Support  Act,  the  Illinois  Parentage  Act of 1984, the Unemployment      
   Insurance Act, and other Acts.   Transfers  child  support  collection      
   functions  from  the Department of Public Aid to the Attorney General.      
   Effective July 1, 2001.                                                     
          FISCAL NOTE (Attorney General)                                       
          The OAG has no basis for determining the fiscal impact of            
          HB 1912 on the Office. It is assumed that costs would not            
          differ significantly from those currently being experienced          
          by the Dept. of Public Aid, which currently administers the          
          function.
