In provisions concerning the report of a holder of unclaimed property, provides that the report and remittance of the property specified in the report shall be filed by currency exchanges by the date determined in the report issued by the Department of Financial Institutions at the conclusion of its annual examination of each currency exchange. Effective immediately. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 2. Adds reference to: 205 ILCS 405/6 Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Currency Exchange Act. Provides that under policies of insurance against loss due to forgery, a currency exchange may assume the first $1,000, rather than $100, of each claim. Amends the Uniform Disposition of Unclaimed Property Act. Provides that a currency exchange shall report and remit property specified in the report within 30 days after the conclusion of its annual examination by the Department of Financial Institutions.
