Short description: CIVIL IMMUNITY-FOOD DONOR Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Good Samaritan Food Donor Act to exempt from civil liability donors of food with damaged packaging. Defines "food with damaged packaging". CORRECTIONAL NOTE (Department of Corrections) There would be no population or cost impact to the Department. STATE MANDATES NOTE (Dept. of Commerce and Community Affairs) In the opinion of DCCA, HB 2435 does not create a State mandate under the State Mandates Act. STATE DEBT NOTE (Illinois Economic and Fiscal Commission) HB 2435 would not change the amount of authorization for any type of State-issued or State-supported bond, and, therefore, would not affect the level of State indebtedness. HOME RULE NOTE (Dept. of Commerce and Community Affairs) This legislation does not contain language indicating a pre- emption of home rule powers and functions. Therefore, in the opinion of DCCA, HB 2435 does not pre-empt home rule authority. FISCAL NOTE (Illinois Economic and Fiscal Commission) HB 2435 would not affect State revenues. JUDICIAL NOTE (Administrative Office of Illinois Courts) HB 2435 would neither increase nor decrease the number of judges needed in the State.
