House Sponsors: COULSON. Short description: NOT FOR PROF CORP-HEALTH CARE Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the General Not For Profit Corporation Act of 1986. Provides that each not-for-profit corporation operating a health care facility in this State shall file with the Secretary of State an annual report containing information concerning ownership, management, consultants, financial statements, names and mailing addresses of all licensed health care facilities in which the not-for-profit corporation maintains an ownership interest or operating authority, charity care and uncompensated services, the Community Benefits Plan, and services the health care facility plans to provide to address community health needs. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Adds provisions requiring the filing of: the by-laws and organizational chart of the health care facility; patient statistics and patient projections; pending or adjudicated citations, violations, or charges against the health care facility; and bad debt owing to the health care facility. Adds immediate effective date.
