Provides that any person who has been subjected to gender-related violence may bring a civil action for damages, an injunction, or other appropriate relief against the person who committed that act. Requires commencement of such an action within 10 years after the right to bring the action first accrued or, if the person is a minor, within 7 years after the person turns 18. JUDICIAL NOTE (Office of Illinois Courts) It has been determined that HB3279 would neither increase nor decrease the number of judges needed in the State.
