LIQ CNTRL-ID EXAM                                                          

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends The Liquor Control Act of 1934. Provides that a holder  of      
   a  retailer's  license,  and the holder of any other license under the      
   Act if ordered by the State Commission, is  required  to  examine  the      
   identification  of  any  individual who attempts to purchase alcoholic      
   liquor to determine whether he or she can legally  purchase  alcoholic      
   liquor.  Provides  that,  as an alternative, the licensee can keep the      
   person's identification information on file and  consult  it  whenever      
   the  person  attempts  to  purchase  alcoholic  liquor. Requires those      
   establishments to display a sign advising customers of  the  mandatory      
   identification  requirement.  Imposes  fines for violations. Effective      
   immediately.
