House Sponsors: YARBROUGH. Short description: VEH CD-ACCIDENT REPORTS-ACCESS Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that, with specified exceptions, a motor vehicle accident report is confidential for a period of 60 days after the report is filed. Provides that a person who improperly discloses accident report information or improperly gains or attempts to gain access to accident report information is guilty of a Class 3 felony. FISCAL NOTE (Illinois State Police) There will be no fiscal impact to the Illinois State Police.
