PROP TX-SENIOR FREEZE-DEDUCTN                                              

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Senior Citizens Assessment Freeze Homestead  Exemption      
   in  the  Property  Tax  Code.  Provides  that in taxable year 2003 and      
   thereafter the applicant's household income must be $70,000 or less         
   (now $40,000 or less).  Amends the State Mandates Act to require            
   implementation without reimbursement. Effective immediately.
