Short description: 
CRIM CD-ELDERLY EXPLOITATION                                               

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Criminal Code of  1961  relating  to  the  offense  of      
   financial  exploitation  of  an  elderly  person  or  a  person with a      
   disability.  Provides that the offense is a  Class  1  felony  (rather      
   than  a  Class 2 felony) if the victim is over 70 years of age and the      
   value of the property is $15,000 or more or if the victim is 80  years      
   of  age  or  older  and  the  value of the property is $5,000 or more.      
   Effective immediately.                                                      
        SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1.                                                
        Changes references from "victim" to "elderly person".
