Changes the Act's title; changes the Act's short title to the Illinois National Guard Employment Rights Act. Makes the Act applicable to members of the Illinois National Guard rather than to service men and women generally. Provides for reemployment rights of members of the Illinois National Guard who are on State Active Duty, including the right of a National Guard member to reemployment in the position that he or she left, with the same increases in status, seniority, and wages that were earned during the member's period of State Active Duty by persons in like positions. Effective immediately. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Adds reference to: 20 ILCS 1805/Art. VII heading 20 ILCS 1805/33 rep. Amends the Military Code of Illinois by changing the heading of Article VII to "Separation" (instead of "The Retired List"). Repeals provisions concerning retirement from the Illinois National Guard.
