SEX OFFENDER REGISTRATION-JUV                                              

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Juvenile Court Act of 1987.  Makes an exception to the      
   nondisclosure requirements by allowing  law  enforcement  officers  to      
   disclose  the  identity  of  a  minor  by releasing information to the      
   general public  in  certain  cases.   Provides  that  nothing  in  the      
   Sections  concerning  confidentiality  and  accessibility  of juvenile      
   records, court files, or law enforcement records affects the duty of a      
   minor to register if required to do so by the provisions  of  the  Sex      
   Offender  Registration Act or the authority of the Department of State      
   Police  or  other  law  enforcement  agency  to  provide   information      
   regarding  a  minor  as  provided  for  in  the Sex Offender and Child      
   Murderer  Community  Notification  Law.   Amends  the   Sex   Offender      
   Registration  Act.   Changes the definition of "juvenile sex offender"      
   to make  adjudicated  juvenile  sex  offenders  subject  to  the  same      
   registration requirements as a sex offenders.
