Allows an area vocational center, as designated by the State Board of Education, to apply for and be eligible to receive any grant administered by the State Board of Education that is available for school districts, subject to the same restrictions applicable to school districts. SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Provides that an area vocational center may apply for and be eligible to receive any school maintenance grant, federal or State technology grant, or other competitive grant (instead of any grant) administered by the State Board of Education that is available for school districts.
