Senate Sponsors: SULLIVAN. Short description: CRIMINAL LAW-TECH Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning presumption of innocence and proof of guilt. SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Deletes reference to: 720 ILCS 5/3-1 Adds reference to: 30 ILCS 105/5.545 new 730 ILCS 5/5-9-1.5 730 ILCS 5/5-9-1.7 Deletes everything. Amends the Unified Code of Corrections. Pro- vides that the domestic violence fine and the sexual assault fine shall be not less than $300 and not more than $1,000 (rather than $100). Creates a Children's Advocacy Center Services Fund. Provides that moneys in the Fund shall be appropriated to the Department of Children and Family Services to make grants to Children's Advocacy Centers with whom the Department has contracts for the purpose of providing multidisciplinary investigation, prosecution, and treatment referral of child sexual abuse and severe physical abuse cases. Provides that a portion of the moneys from the domestic violence fines and the sexual assault fines shall be deposited into the Children's Advocacy Center Service Fund.
