Provides that if the village or town attorney declines to serve on the Board, then the position shall be filled by a person appointed by the village or town president with the advice and consent of the village or town board of trustees. Effective immediately. PENSION NOTE (Pension Laws Commission) SB 702 would not increase the accrued liability or annual costs of any downstate police or firefighters' pension fund.
