Short description: 
PRETRIAL SERVICES-FEES                                                     

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Juvenile Court Act of 1987.   Provides  that  informal      
   supervision  with  a  probation  officer may include any conditions of      
   probation provided in the Act.  Amends the Code of Criminal  Procedure      
   of  1963.   Provides  that the Chief Judge of the Judicial Circuit may      
   establish reasonable fees to be paid by a  person  receiving  pretrial      
   services  while  under  supervision  of  a  pretrial  services agency,      
   probation  department,  or  court  services  department.   Amends  the      
   Probation and Probation Officers Act.  Provides  that  the  reasonable      
   fees  to  be  paid  by  a person receiving pretrial services are to be      
   deposited in the county probation and court services fund.   Effective      
   immediately.

        Further amends the Juvenile Court Act of 1987.  Provides that the      
   court must impose upon a minor who requires authoritative intervention      
   or upon an addicted minor a fee of $25 for each month or partial month      
   the minor is under supervision with  a  probation  officer.   Provides      
   that  the  court  may assess a lesser fee if the court determines that      
   the minor or the parent, guardian, or legal custodian of the minor  is      
   unable  to  pay  the fee.  Provides that the fee may not be imposed if      
   the minor becomes a ward of the State.
