AN ACT concerning regulation.
|
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
represented in the General Assembly:
|
Section 5. The Elevator Safety and Regulation Act is |
amended by changing Section 50 as follows:
|

Sec. 50. Qualifications for elevator inspector's license.
|
(a) No inspector's license shall be granted to any person |
who has not paid
the
required application fee.
|
(b) No inspector's license shall be granted to any person, |
unless he or she has been certified as meeting the requirements |
of ASME QEI-1 by a nationally or internationally recognized |
independent organization concerned with personnel |
certification he or she
proves
to the satisfaction of the |
Administrator that he or she meets the current ASME
QEI-1,

Standards for the Qualifications of Elevator Inspectors.
