AN ACT concerning local government.
|
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
represented in the General Assembly:
|
Section 5. The Counties Code is amended by adding Section |
5-1132 as follows:

(55 ILCS 5/5-1132 new) |
Sec. 5-1132. Contractual assessments; renewable energy |
sources. A county may enter into voluntary agreements with the |
owners of property within the unincorporated areas of the |
county to provide for contractual assessments to finance the |
installation of distributed generation renewable energy |
sources or energy efficiency improvements that are permanently |
fixed to real property.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
becoming law.
