AN ACT concerning local government.
|
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
represented in the General Assembly:
|
Section 5. The Illinois Municipal Code is amended by |
changing Section 9-2-13 as follows:
|
(65 ILCS 5/9-2-13) (from Ch. 24, par. 9-2-13)
|
Sec. 9-2-13. Publication and posting of ordinances. Upon |
the presentation to the corporate authorities of the
proposed |
ordinance, together with the required recommendation and |
estimate,
if the estimate of cost exceeds the sum of $1,000,000 |
$200,000, exclusive of the
amount to be paid for land to be |
taken or damaged, the ordinance shall be
referred to the proper |
committee and published in the usual way or posted on the |
municipality's Internet website, in full,
with the |
recommendation and estimate, at least 10 days before any action |
is
taken thereon by the corporate authorities. Whenever any |
plat, plan,
profile, or drawing is a part of the ordinance, or |
is attached thereto as a
part thereof, or is referred to by the |
ordinance, it is not necessary to
publish or post that plat, |
plan, profile, or drawing in connection with the
publication or |
posting of the ordinance.
