AN ACT concerning education.
|
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
represented in the General Assembly:
|
Section 5. The Interscholastic Athletic Organization Act |
is amended by adding Section 1.10 as follows:

(105 ILCS 25/1.10 new) |
Sec. 1.10. CPR training video. |
(a) The Illinois High School Association shall post a |
training video on hands-only cardiopulmonary resuscitation and |
automated external defibrillators on the association's |
Internet website, but only if it is provided to the association |
free of charge and is no more than 15 minutes in length. |
(b) School districts shall notify parents and staff in |
newsletters, bulletins, calendars, or other correspondence |
currently published by the school district of the video posted |
under subsection (a) of this Section and encourage parents and |
staff to view it.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
becoming law.
