AN ACT concerning transportation.
|
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
represented in the General Assembly:
|
Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by changing |
Section 5-801 as follows:
|
(625 ILCS 5/5-801) (from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 5-801)
|
Sec. 5-801. Criminal penalties. Any person who violates any |
of the provisions of this Chapter, except a person who violates |
a provision for which a different criminal penalty is |
indicated, is shall be
guilty of a Class A misdemeanor. Any |
person who violates subsection (e) of Section 5-202 is guilty |
of a Class C misdemeanor. Any person who violates any |
provisions
of Section 5-701 is shall be guilty of a Class 3 |
felony.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
becoming law.
