AN ACT concerning education.
|
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
represented in the General Assembly:
|
Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Sections |
10-20.73 and 34-18.67 as follows:

(105 ILCS 5/10-20.73 new) |
Sec. 10-20.73. Student absence; pregnancy. A school board |
shall adopt written policies related to absences and missed |
homework or classwork assignments as a result of or related to |
a student's pregnancy.

(105 ILCS 5/34-18.67 new) |
Sec. 34-18.67. Student absence; pregnancy. The board shall |
adopt written policies related to absences and missed homework |
or classwork assignments as a result of or related to a |
student's pregnancy.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
becoming law.
