    AN  ACT  relating  to  arts  organizations  and  cultural
institutions.

    Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:

    Section  5.  The School Code is amended by adding Section
2-3.120 as follows:

    (105 ILCS 5/2-3.120 new)
    Sec.  2-3.120.  Arts  and  humanities  organizations  and
cultural institutions.   The  State  Board  of  Education  is
authorized  to  reimburse  not-for-profit arts and humanities
organizations  and   cultural   institutions   of   Illinois,
including  but  not  limited to, museums and theater or dance
companies, for the costs of providing educational programs to
public elementary and secondary school students.

    Section 10.  The Board of Higher Education Act is amended
by adding Section 9.09a as follows:

    (110 ILCS 205/9.09a new)
    Sec.  9.09a.  Arts  and  humanities   organizations   and
cultural  institutions.    The  Board  of Higher Education is
authorized to reimburse not-for-profit  arts  and  humanities
organizations   and   cultural   institutions   of  Illinois,
including but not limited to, museums and  theater  or  dance
companies, for the costs of providing educational programs to
students of public institutions of higher education.
