Biography: State Elected Official 2020; Chicago native; mother of three boys; served as a Certified Nursing Assistant in nursing homes; served as a labor advocate and organizer for working families and Fight for 15 spokesperson; served as the chair of the Illinois House Black Caucus; awarded by several organizations; Lawndale Christian Development Cooperation 2021, Champion of North Lawndale 2024, ACLU Champion of the year 2024 and more. A strong advocate for seniors, working class families, youth in care, education, public safety, affordable housing, and mental health. Focused on development without displacement and creating more opportunities for families across the 5th senate district.
