720 ILCS 5/12-16.3 new


Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Creates the offense of sexual battery. Provides that a person commits the offense when he or she intentionally or knowingly without legal justification makes physical contact with the intimate body parts of a victim who was 17 years of age or older at the time of the commission of the offense, without that person's consent. Defines intimate body parts. Provides that a violation is a Class A misdemeanor. Effective immediately.

720 ILCS 5/31-6from Ch. 38, par. 31-6
720 ILCS 5/31-7from Ch. 38, par. 31-7

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Provides that the statutes concerning escape and aiding escape apply to a person adjudicated a delinquent minor for the commission of a felony or misdemeanor offense under the Juvenile Court Act of 1987 and to a person aiding the escape of a person adjudicated a delinquent minor for the commission of a felony or misdemeanor offense under the Juvenile Court Act of 1987. Effective immediately.
