Using the Illinois legislation site
Bill Status and Bill Summary If there is any activity regarding a bill or
resolution on a given day, the Bill Status for that bill or
resolution is updated usually within minutes (barring unforeseen circumstances)
to reflect that activity. For a list of committee abbreviations, see the
Committee
abbreviations page.
Viewing legislation Most legislation contains underscored and
stricken text because House and Senate rules require the use of stricken text to

additions to an existing Act. Almost all browsers display underscored text
properly; however, some older browsers and text-only browsers do not display
stricken text properly. The following line of text should appear stricken:
This line of text should appear stricken.
If the above line of text does not appear stricken, you should not view
legislation with your current browser because the legislation will not display
correctly in your browser.
