Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Counties Code. Provides that, notwithstanding any provision to the contrary, upon the expiration of the current term of specified local officials in office at the time of the effective date of this amendatory Act, no State-funded awards shall be appropriated for or paid to individuals holding those offices. Applies to County treasurers, clerks, recorders, chief clerks of boards of election commissioners, coroners, and sheriffs outside of Cook County and to the sheriff and recorder in Cook County.
