Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the School Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning State goals and assessment.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 1
Deletes reference to:
105 ILCS 5/2-3.64
Adds reference to:
105 ILCS 5/22-27

Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the School Code. Allows school boards to award high school diplomas to honorably discharged veterans who served in the armed forces of the United States during the Vietnam Conflict. Effective immediately.

House Committee Amendment No. 1
Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts the contents of the bill as engrossed, with the following change. Provides that there is no rulemaking authority under the amendatory Act, but that the Governor may suggest rules by filing them with the General Assembly and requesting that the General Assembly authorize such rulemaking by law, enact the suggested rules into law, or take other appropriate action in the General Assembly's discretion. Effective immediately.
