HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Natalie K. Rothbart, who passed away on September 21, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Natalie Rothbart was born on January 1, 1930; and

WHEREAS, Natalie Rothbart worked with her local community to establish a library district for the people of Norridge and Harwood Heights, and, in 1974, was among the first group of trustees sworn in to serve on the board for the newly established Eisenhower Public Library District; and

WHEREAS, Natalie Rothbart served as trustee on the board from September 1, 1974 to September 21, 2018; she was treasurer for her full 44 years on the board; and

WHEREAS, In 2003, Natalie Rothbart worked to help pass a referendum to build a new library; she was actively involved in beautifying the grounds surrounding the new building; and

WHEREAS, Natalie Rothbart was also a dedicated lifelong volunteer for over 45 years with the Girl Scouts; and

WHEREAS, Natalie Rothbart was the beloved wife of 66 years to Hans; the loving mom of Thomas and Linda; and the cherished grandma of Peter (Kristin) and Margaret; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Natalie K. Rothbart and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Natalie Rothbart as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
