SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of John F. "Jack" Arbuckle Jr. of Peoria, who passed away on January 8, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Jack Arbuckle Jr. was born in Peoria to Florence (Netter) and John F. Arbuckle Sr. on January 16, 1938; later in life, he graduated from Bradley University with a bachelor's degree in economics; and

WHEREAS, Jack Arbuckle Jr. worked as a lending officer at Commercial National Bank (PNC Bank) and retired as vice president after over 25 years of service; and

WHEREAS, Jack Arbuckle Jr. was active with the Creve Coeur Club, the Kiwanis Club, the Ivy Club, the Peoria Public School Board and the Crittenton Care Centers; he was an avid reader and had a true passion for sports cars, especially Corvettes; he will be remembered as a loving husband and a great father; and

WHEREAS, Jack Arbuckle Jr. was preceded in death by his parents and his first cousin, JaNan Williams; and

WHEREAS, Jack Arbuckle Jr. is survived by his wife, Janet; his daughters, Elana L. Arbuckle-Alexander and Andrea (Bryan L.) Parker; his grandchildren, Stephen Michael Alexander, Landon A. (Melanie) Parker, and Brittany E. Parker; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of John F. "Jack" Arbuckle Jr. and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jack Arbuckle as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
