AN ACT concerning government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The State Commemorative Dates Act is amended by adding Section 61 as follows:

(5 ILCS 490/61 new)

Sec. 61. John Lewis Day. The twenty-first day of February of each year shall be known as John Lewis Day, to be observed throughout the State as a day to remember the accomplishments of the civil rights icon and to honor his legacy and dedication to public service.
