HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the passing of Kathleen Marie "Kat" Moczek of Bristol, Wisconsin, who passed away on April 12, 2023; and

WHEREAS, Kathleen Moczek was born to Gerald and Alice (Gribbon) O'Connor in Chicago on July 12, 1959; she married Paul Moczek on September 8, 2001; and

WHEREAS, Kathleen Moczek was an avid gardener, tending to both her indoor and outdoor plants, and a bird watching enthusiast; she enjoyed her black Camaro, which was her dream car; and

WHEREAS, Kathleen Moczek was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; she was known for being smart, kind, and willing to offer help to anyone in need; and

WHEREAS, Kathleen Moczek was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Thomas O'Connor and James O'Connor; and

WHEREAS, At the time of her passing, Kathleen Moczek was survived by her husband; her children, Tonya (Jay Hatton) Fuson, Justin Chase, and Zach (Jessica Gadke) Kenna; her grandchildren, Natasha (Joe) Switzer, Devon Dolengowski, Nicholas Gudgeon, Addison Hatton, Tessa Hatton, Cameron Kenna, Kaleb Kenna, Ryder Kenna, Kylie Schoop, Jackson Schoop, and Cassidy Chase; her great-grandchildren, Ava, Joey, Ella, Alice, and Charlie; and many additional family and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Kathleen Marie "Kat" Moczek and extend our condolences to her family, friends and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Kathleen Moczek as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
