SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Raymond W. Wells of Waukegan, who passed away on March 8, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Wells was born on April 16, 1922, in Antioch; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Wells was a union carpenter for Ames Brothers in Waukegan for 30 years and upon his retirement managed Grand Avenue Shopping Center in Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Wells was a member of the First United Methodist Church; he enjoyed dancing, bowling, horseshoes, and woodworking, and was a avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox fan; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Wells was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Shirley; his daughters, Marilyn and Cherlyn; his brothers, Howard and Arthur; and his sisters, Lillian, Ruth, and Shirley; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Wells was the beloved father of Roger (Linda), Russell (Kathleen), Bruce, and Carolyn (Peter) Dorhout; the loving grandfather of Kristin, Kevin, Melissa (Scott), Rachel, Aimee (Justin) Jacquelyn, and Kathryn; the dear great-grandfather of Adam and Tyler; and the loving brother of Virginia Magiera, Warren (Ruth), and Richard; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Raymond Wells, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Raymond Wells as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
