SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Angelo A. Marchio of Joliet, who passed away on October 6, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Angelo Marchio was born in Carbondale, Pennsylvania to Paul Marchio and Philomena (Marchio) Ventura in 1928; and

WHEREAS, Angelo Marchio worked as a carpenter with Carpenters Local Union #174; he was the former owner and operator of Marchio's Tavern; he was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War; and

WHEREAS, Angelo Marchio was preceded in death by his loving wife, Kathryn (Hibler) Marchio; and his parents; and

WHEREAS, Angelo Marchio is survived by his sons, Anthony, Michael, and Stephen (Gayle) Marchio; his grandchildren, Nicholas and Vincent Marchio; his brother, Bruno (the late Carol); his sister-in-law, Mary Lou (Ron) Erjavec; his nieces and nephews, Paul, David, Lori, Gina, Dean, and Sue; and his devoted companion, Barbara Confer; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Angelo A. Marchio, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Angelo Marchio as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
