SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Arthur William Kuhlman of Hebron, who passed away on October 25, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Arthur Kuhlman was born in Bensenville to Arthur and Rose (Reetz) Kuhlman on May 20, 1933; he worked on the family farm with his parents and brothers until he joined the United States Army in 1953; he was stationed in Fort Lewis in Washington; and

WHEREAS, Arthur Kuhlman returned to the family farm in 1955; he married the love of his life, Marlene Miller, on June 13, 1959; they settled in Hebron; and

WHEREAS, Arthur Kuhlman enjoyed spending time with his family, woodworking, bowling, golfing, and his garden; he had a knack for fixing just about anything; and

WHEREAS, Arthur Kuhlman is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marlene Kuhlman; his daughters, LeAnne (James) Bigelow, and Laurel (David) Tenhagen; his grandchildren, Daniel and Jason Bigelow, and Landon, Taylor, and Alex Tenhagen; his brothers, Ray (Irene) Kuhlman, and Marvin Kuhlman; his brother-in-law, Donald Miller; his sister-in-law, Alice Evenson; his nephew, Troy Evenson; and his nieces, Sue (Mark) Hrodey, Diane (Jim) Finnerty, Karen (Brad) Magnani, Tracy (Latham) Lewis, Teri Evenson, Mary Miller, and Michelle Walsh; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Arthur William Kuhlman, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Arthur Kuhlman as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
