SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Muriel A. Budzynski of Johnsburg, who passed away on April 24, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Muriel Budzynski was born in Chicago to John F. and Eleanora (Marszalek) Paszkiet on May 9, 1939; as a young woman, she worked with the St. Vincent de Paul Society in their infant ward; she married Richard Budzynski at St. Robert Bellarmine Church in Chicago on September 29, 1962; and

WHEREAS, Muriel Budzynski worked with her husband at the family printing business, RFB Litho Service Inc. in Johnsburg for 39 years; and

WHEREAS, Muriel Budzynski and her family summered in Johnsburg for 10 years before settling in Johnsburg in 1999; she was a devoted member of St. John the Baptist Church in Johnsburg; she was also active with the Knights of Columbus Council 9167 Ladies Auxiliary; and

WHEREAS, Muriel Budzynski's passion was her family; she was a talented cook who loved to feed people; she and her husband were affectionately known as "Mr. & Mrs. B" by her children's friends, who were loved and always welcomed when her children had friends over or hosted parties; and

WHEREAS, Muriel Budzynski was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard F. Budzynski Sr.; and her brothers, John, Walter (the late Dona), and David Paszkiet; and

WHEREAS, Muriel Budzynski is survived by her children, Adrienne (Christopher) Hentz and Richard F. Jr. (Karina) Budzynski; her grandchildren, Alexander, Shawn, Elise, Jake, and Mila; and her sisters-in-law, Dorothy (the late George) Blickhawn and JoAnne Paszkiet; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Muriel A. Budzynski, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Muriel Budzynski as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
