SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Bette J. Brown of Woodstock, who passed away on March 11, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Bette Brown was born in Belvidere to Clifford and Helen (Pease) Stock on July 22, 1940; she married Ronald H. Brown in Woodstock on October 1, 1960; and

WHEREAS, Bette Brown was employed for many years at the State Bank of Woodstock; she was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Woodstock and volunteered with Meals on Wheels and the Clothing Closet; she enjoyed cross stitching, reading, and going to her children and her grandchildren's special events; she was loved and will be missed; and

WHEREAS, Bette Brown was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sisters, Carol Lipinsky and Judy Bradkowski; and her brothers, Chuck and Rick Stock; and

WHEREAS, Bette Brown is survived by her sons, Kevin (Marybeth) Brown and Kurt (Heather) Brown; her daughter, Deann (Patrick) Ryan; her grandchildren, Nora, Colleen, Joe, and Michael Brown, and Liz and Alexander Ryan; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Bette J. Brown, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Bette Brown as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
