SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ronald Griffin of Milan, who passed away on August 14, 2020; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Griffin was born in Moline to Elmer and Constance (Miles) Griffin on August 18, 1941; he married Claudia Betcher in Rock Island on June 6, 1964; he served in the U.S. Army; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Griffin worked as a forms analyst at Deere & Company until his retirement; he later owned his own business that provided forms to local businesses; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Griffin was known for his positivity and his witty sense of humor that brought joy to those who knew him; he enjoyed drawing, teaching, mentoring, working on cars, WWII aircraft, reading, fishing, and Scouting; he will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Griffin is survived by his wife, Claudia; his children, Christine (Randall) DeVoss and Marc (Dana) Griffin; his grandchildren, Seth Lubben, Sara (Adam) Bebernes, and Sydney Griffin; his great-grandchild, Harley Marie Bebernes; and his brother, David (Rita) Griffin; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Ronald Griffin and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ronald Griffin as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
