1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3985
2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3985 by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:

4     "Section 5. The Private Detective, Private Alarm, Private
5 Security, Fingerprint Vendor, and Locksmith Act of 2004 is
6 amended by adding Section 10-31 as follows:

7     (225 ILCS 447/10-31 new)
8     Sec. 10-31. Contracts for auxiliary police services. No
9 licensee shall contract with any municipality for the provision
10 of auxiliary police services under Section 3.1-30-20 of the
11 Illinois Municipal Code. An employee serving as an auxiliary
12 police officer shall perform only those duties provided by
13 Section 3.1-30-20 of the Illinois Municipal Code and shall
14 comply with all other requirements of Section 3.1-30-20 and of
15 the Illinois Municipal Code.".
