AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2107

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2107 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the following:

"Section 5. The Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability Act is amended by adding Section 5.1 as follows:

(25 ILCS 155/5.1 new)

Sec. 5.1. Mapping of State revenues and expenditures. As soon as practicable after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 98th General Assembly, the Commission shall, in cooperation with the Legislative Research Unit, establish on the Commission's website a geographic information system to provide members of the public with detailed information regarding State revenues and expenditures at different geographic scales. The geographic information system shall, at a minimum, make it possible for members of the public to obtain information about the geographic distribution of economic development projects, tax expenditures, and gross and net State revenue and expenditures by ZIP code, county, legislative district, and representative district. Each State agency, as that term is defined in Section 1-7 of the Illinois State Auditing Act, shall cooperate with the Commission and the Legislative Research Unit in furnishing the data necessary for the implementation of this Section.".
