SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

105 ILCS 230/5-50

Amends the School Construction Law. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning referendum requirements.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning education.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The School Construction Law is amended by changing Section 5-50 as follows:

(105 ILCS 230/5-50)

Sec. 5-50. Referendum requirements. After the the State Board of Education has approved all or part of a district's application and issued a grant entitlement for a school construction project grant, the district shall submit the project or the financing of the project to a referendum when such referendum is required by law, except for a project financed by bonds issued pursuant to subsection (p-70) of Section 19-1 of the School Code.
