AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5009

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 5009 as follows:

on page 2, lines 6 and 7, by deleting "during which time the employee is contractually employed"; and

on page 2, immediately below line 9, by inserting the following:

"(a-5) For educational support personnel, holidays observed by a school district shall be paid in addition to an educational support personnel employee's normally scheduled work. An educational support personnel employee shall receive the day off with pay and benefits for all school district observed holidays that occur on days during the educational support personnel employee's contractual work term. This subsection (a-5) is a declaration of existing law and may not be construed as a new enactment.".
