1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3481
2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3481 on page 1, by
3 replacing lines 10 through 15 with the following:
4     ""Battery energy storage solution facility" or "BESS"
5 means a facility that stores and distributes energy in the
6 form of electricity and that stores electricity using battery
7 devices and other means. "Battery energy storage solution" or
8 "BESS" includes any permanent structures associated with the
9 battery energy storage facility and all associated
10 transmission lines, substations, and other equipment related
11 to the storage and transmission of electric power."; and

12 on page 2, line 21, replace "week." with "week; and"; and

13 on page 2, immediately below line 21, by inserting the
14 following:
15         "(3) the owner or operator of the battery storage site
16     is an automotive parts recycler as defined in Section

1     1-105.3 of the Illinois Vehicle Code and licensed under
2     Section 5-301 of the Illinois Vehicle Code.".
